Disney's cash cow/teen queen Miley Cyrus was finally thrown from her pedestal this last week as her movie slipped from the number one spot at the box office. It's 10.5 million weekend didn't quite match up to its 31.1 million dollar opening, allowing for the romantic comedy "Fools Gold" to steal the top spot.
Finally there is some order back in the world. An actual film with a plot is back at number one. And for those of you wondering Paris Hilton's new movie, "The Hottie and the Nottie" tanked worse than Lindsay Lohans "Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen". It opened in only 111 theatres earning a pitiful 250,000 dollars. Personally I'm sad. Not because I think Paris Hilton has one ounce of talent, but because I really like her co-star Joel Moore (we hung out over Christmas break. I beat him at 'find the shtick').
